In the latest chapter of JJK, Yuji has finally awakened tapping into his hidden potential as a sorcerer. Yuji didn’t have any curse technique of his own but he finally had not one but two innate techniques. The first one is the Blood Manipulation which he inherited from the Cursed Wombs. The other one is the Malevolent Shrine which he obtained by being a living vessel for Sukuna.

Itadori was one of the Cursed Womb Child which we came to know about after Choso entered the picture. Kenjaku gave birth to Itadori by inhibiting the body of Itadori’s mother. There was a total of 10 cursed womb children including Itadori according to Choso. The 6 younger brothers of the Cursed womb child were still in Tokyo School’s safe house. Choso used the remaining 6 Cursed womb child and engraved their cursed technique of Itadori giving him the capability to use Blood Manipulation. After the battle with Gojo, we came to know that Sukuna was still not going all out and was still holding back. Even during the fight with Maki and Yuta, Uramhime tells Sukuna is bored and doesn’t consider them worthy opponents. Now that he is fighting Yuji in his awakened state, he finally seems to be losing his cool and we might be at a stage where he shows complete strength.

Relation Between Sukuna and Yuji

Fans have their theories and it seems like they were very close to being right this time about the relation between Sukuna and Yuji. Sukuna turned out to be the uncle of Yuji. In the ancient tale about Sukuna, he had a twin brother whom he ate when he was in the womb. Gege utilized this story and brought us one of the most interesting plot twists.

In JJk, Sukuna too had a twin brother whom he ate in the womb when he was hungry. The soul of the dead twin of Sukuna traveled down generations until it got into Jin Itadori, Yuji’s father. Kenjaku inhabited Yuji’s mother’s body and the result was Yuji. He was both a cursed womb child and the son of the twin brother of Sukuna.

Itadori was born with a strong body capable of holding even Sukuna inside him. He also had the latent potential to get as strong as Sukuna cause both of them were descendent of the same parents. Sukuna is a generation higher but he is also at the end of his energy now. On the other hand, Yuji is constantly getting stronger and is close to surpassing Sukuna.

The upcoming JJK may bring us some interesting battle swings. We might see Yuji unleashing some stronger attacks or Sukuna revealing his hidden aces.
