The upcoming chapter begins with the narrator explaining the current situation of the battle. Yuji has gained the upper hand by unleashing 7 Black Flashes. He can freely use Reverse Cursed Techniques now and easily fend off any attack. On the other side, Sukuna still couldn’t use the Reverse Cursed Technique. He was supposed to gain the Reverse Cursed Technique after two Black Flashes but attacks from Yuji disrupted his flow and he couldn’t grow back his arm.
The punches from Yuji hit Sukuna between his soul and Megumi’s soul. Although Sukuna couldn’t use his reverse cursed technique to his full extent, he unleashed his Domain Expansion, The Malevolent Shrine. However, this time, his domain isn’t at its peak capacity.
His domain starts cutting and slashing everything that comes in the way. Sukuna had imposed multiple binding vows on his domain to increase its effectiveness and range but the power seems uncontrollable.
In the Flashback scene, Yuji, Hikiari, Choso, and others discuss how to counter Sukuna’s domain expansion. They realize that having the Reverse Cursed Technique is the only effective way to tackle Sukuna’s domain. Choso says that he can use the Reverse cursed technique and so does Yuta and Hikari. The problem comes down to Yuji.
Choso asks how does they compensate for the loss of blood during a reverse cursed technique. But Shoko says that they convert their cursed energy into blood. So having a large amount of cursed energy is more advantageous if someone is using the reverse cursed technique.
Although, Choso had a plan for Yuji. He wants to feed the remaining of the cursed womb child to Yuji. Doing so will give Yuji the power to use the techniques of Blood Manipulation which we have already witnessed. Yuji has a special body, a half-curse, and a half-human so he doesn’t have to worry about the decline of cursed energy and can freely use Reverse Cursed Technique.
We then come to know about one of the most broken cursed techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen, the cursed technique of Ui Ui, he can not only see the location of bodies but also their souls. UI Ui uses his technique to swap Yuji’s body and Kasukabe’s body. They do so to teach Yuji Simple Domain and Cursed Energy Manipulation. Kasukabe enters Yuji’s body and teaches his body how to unleash a simple domain.
Coming back to the ongoing fight, we see Yuji pulling off, “NEW Shadow Style: Simple Domain” which originally belonged to Kasukabe. Using a simple domain helps counter the sure-hit criteria of a Domain.
Sukuna’s Domain had many broken parts and was unleashing a continuous barrage of attacks. However, they soon realize that Sukuna can’t maintain his barrier for long so all of them try to endure the domain’s attack. Right at that moment, alongside Yuji, Choso, Maki, and Ino were also there.
Yuji’s simple domain broke before Sukuna’s domain. Yuji was hit by multiple barrage of Slashes eventually losing his foot. However, he remained unfazed and moved toward Sukuna. Soon after Sukuna’s domain also disappeared but the problem didn’t end there.
One of the powers that most fans forgot and about whom possibility we talked last week finally came into the picture. Sukuna starts building up a fire attack, one more powerful than he used against Jogo. We may finally see him explaining the mystery behind his fire attacks. The chapter ends there and leaves the fans at a major cliffhanger.
